Tune for Tuesday for Week of 8/20/2024: "Tal Tal Heights" from The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening

This week's Tune for Tuesday, "Tal Tal Heights" from The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening, is in honor of a dear friend who just celebrated their 30th birthday this past Saturday!

Tune for Tuesday for Week of 5/14/2024: "Tarm Ruins Orchestral Remix" as performed by RebeccaETripp

This week's Tune for Tuesday, an orchestral remix of "Tarm Ruins" as arranged by RebeccaETripp, is a great take on one of my favorite songs from The Legend of Zelda, Oracle of Seasons. On this date 23 years ago, both this game and its sibling Oracle of Ages were released in the USA, and while I enjoy both games immensely, Oracle of Seasons would go on to mark a major turning point in how I viewed myself as a gamer. Unsurprisingly, this is what inspired what would become my primary online handle LinkSeasonMaster and thus it felt only natural to pay tribute to the source of said inspiration.

Tune for Tuesday for Week of 11/21/2023: "Kokiri Forest" as performed by The Consouls

This week's Tune for Tuesday, "Kokiri Forest" as performed by The Consouls, is a fantastic jazz cover of one of the first songs one hears upon starting up a brand new file in a marvelous game celebrating its 25th birthday today: The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time! This landmark game is responsible for many a fond memory of mine as well as countless other fans across the globe, and its stellar soundtrack is just one of many reasons for it!

Disclaimer: I don't own Gerudo Valley or any of the footage used here in this AMV. They all belong to their respective owners. Sixth AMV down the hatch! Gerudo Valley has been a song very near and dear to my heart since I first heard it as a child, and when my original idea for my next AMV didn't pan out (haven't found a cover for a particular song that I find meets my standards), I had the urge to try this one instead. And as usual I keep experimenting with these videos, this time with using TECHNICALLY fewer pieces of footage but editing them in a few where it feels like more. All in all, I just really hope I did this amazing song and cover the justice they so richly deserve! Enjoy! Tune for Tuesday for Week of 9/16/2014: "Pirate's Gigue" from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons

This week's Tune for Tuesday, "Pirate's Gigue" from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (technically, it also appears in Oracle of Ages, but considering it only pops up once in a very brief scene in that game, it's not surprising that people often associate it exclusively with Seasons), may seem like an odd choice, especially if it's in part to celebrate the new Hyrule Warriors game. Thing is, this is one of my favorite soundtracks from a game that has great significance for me, both as a Zelda fan and as someone who loves video games as a whole. Perhaps I'll go more into that at some point, but for now, I just want share a part of my history all while celebrating the newest entry in one of my all-time favorite franchises. Enjoy!
