Tune for Tuesday for Week of 5/19/2015: "Never Turn Back" from Crush 40

This week's Tune for Tuesday, "Never Turn Back" by Crush 40, was one I hinted at last week, and considering I just graduated from college, I found it to be quite fitting. That, and I just love Crush 40.

Tune for Tuesday for Week of 5/12/2015: "Sonic Boom" by Pastiche

Choosing today's Tune for Tuesday, "Sonic Boom" by Pastiche, was actually a tough call for me, for I was trying to decide whether to go with this version (aka the original in its entirety), or the Crush 40 version (which is a bit shorter but still amazing nonetheless). Eventually, I decided to that since I'm already planning on having another Crush 40 song as next week's pick (that's all I'm willing to reveal at the moment about what I have in mind for next time), and how I already love the original version as it is, I figured that for this week, I might as well go with the version of the song that I heard and fell in love with first. Enjoy!

Tune for Tuesday for Week of 5/5/2015: "Our Whole Lives Tonight" by Eyeshine

Today’s Tune for Tuesday, “Our Whole Lives Tonight” by Eyeshine, is by no means a stranger to my little weekly tradition, though admittedly this is the first time I am posting it here on this particular website. However, given certain factors specifically regarding this week and the next, I feel I can safely say that this time around, the meaning behind this song is more applicable to me now than any other time I have selected it. Either way, I hope you all at least enjoy the song as much as I do, even if the lyrics don’t necessarily apply to you personally. 

Tune for Tuesday for Week of 4/28/2015: “Moonlit Melee” by Michiru Yamane

This week’s Tune for Tuesday, “Moonlit Melee” by Michiru Yamane, was selected for several reasons. First of all, I’ve been playing a great deal of Skullgirls recently. Though as with a majority of 2D fighting games, I’m not very good at playing it by any means, as with the Darkstalkers and BlazBlue franchises, I easily managed to find enough amazing aspects to enjoy it immensely, with or without any actual skill. Second, I find the name of the piece fitting given my constant evening struggles against the tyranny of school work as of late. Seriously, it’s been far too long since I actually got a good night’s sleep, or even any length of sleep that could be considered even remotely restful. But, most of all, I just love how the song sounds! 

Tune for Tuesday for Week of 4/21/2015: “Everything’s Alright” by Laura Shigihara

This week’s Tune for Tuesday, “Everything’s Alright” by Laura Shigihara comes to you from a source considered by many to be proof that video games are just as capable of being examples of high art as any other medium of story-telling. I myself firmly agree with that sentiment, and anyone who has experienced To the Moon in its entirety should know all too well the reasons why I say that.

Tune for Tuesday for Week of 4/14/2015: "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay

For the second time in less than a month, I am afraid I must apologize for missing the previous week’s Tune for Tuesday. Therefore, in an attempt to make amends, I bring to you all an incredibly well put together, fan produced music video. I don’t know how many of you may have already seen it before, for I myself could never remember the name of the song nor the band that performed it up until I found this particular video, but even before then, any time I heard the song playing, the melody always managed to grab my attention. But now for some reason I can’t explain, I find myself being swept off my feet and blown away. So without further ado, please allow to share with all of you a LEGO stop motion video produced by Dylan Woodley to the song “Viva la Vida” as performed by Coldplay! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!
